Point2
Enjoy trekking to the source of the hot springs up in the mountains. The scenery at the source has recently become famous around the world, attracting many visitors. However, the toxic gases that are occasionally emitted make it very dangerous, so you will need to be accompanied by a professional guide.
Point3
The area around the ryokan is surrounded by the nature of Japan — you will be soothed just by being here. There are numerous natural spots such as hiking courses, Lake Inawashiro, Goshikinuma Ponds, and Tatsusawa Fudo Waterfall. In winter, you can enjoy skiing at a nearby ski resort. If you rent a car, you can enjoy sightseeing at Ouchi-juku and Aizuwakamatsu Castle.
Point4
Visit us to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan. Although our rooms feel old as they are in the traditional Japanese style, we welcome you to enjoy their retro atmosphere. You can fell the seasons of Japan from rooms with garden views. (*We also have rooms without garden views)
Welcome to Bandai Nishimuraya Ryokan
Bandai Nishimuraya Ryokan is located in Nakanosawa Onsen, roughly 260km north of Tokyo. It is a quiet mountain ryokan located in a hot spring district surrounded by mountains — Mount Adatara (1728m) to the east, Mount Bandai (1816m) to the west, and the Azuma mountain range (2035m) to the north. The high quality of the hot spring water attracts tourists from all over Japan, and is known as a hidden gem of a hot spring.
Since a hot spring was discovered at the foot of Mount Adatara around 1600, it has been used as a therapeutic hot spring. Because of the high acidity of the hot spring, it is effective for mitigating gastrointestinal diseases, rheumatic diseases, and external wounds such as cutes, and is visited by many people throughout the year.
There is also a ski resort near the ryokan, which is popular with families who enjoy skiing in the winter. In spring, summer, and fall, we welcome many guests returning from hikes, who visit us to sooth their fatigue from a day in the mountains before returning home.
How about experiencing a traditional Japanese ryokan? Our entire staff will strive to ensure that our guests return home with a warm feeling in their hearts, so please visit us.
